Departmental Mission Statement  Judicial Information Services Department (JISD) is charged with the implementation, maintenance, update, and training of technology systems in support of the Office of Court Management - all Trial Court Departments, the Office of the Commissioner of Probation, Office of Jury Commissioner, and the Supreme Judicial Court, Appeals Court and Board of Bar Examiners.

This position is designated as a union position and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement with O.P.E.I.U., Local 6.

Position Summary: Working within the Judicial Information Services Department (JISD) of the Office of Court Management, the Network Analyst II has responsibility for creating, installing, managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting the WAN and LAN infrastructure across Massachusetts Trial Court locations. Supports and troubleshoots all network devices, as well as any outages or problems. Performs network design and implementation.

Supervision Received: Works under the direction of the Manager of Network Services.

Duties:

• Monitor and troubleshoot any outages with our networks, working with our vendors and data service providers.
• Supports and troubleshoots all network devices including switches, routers, wireless controllers, and access points.
• Works collaboratively with other teams in JISD in troubleshooting network connectivity issues. Assists in communication during service impacting incidents by providing timely updates through appropriate channels.
• Manages IP addressing space via management of DHCP and DNS servers.
• Assists in the design and deployment of our wireless network.
• Works with vendors and manufacturers in the design and troubleshooting of our current and future network.
• Researches and makes recommendations on new technologies and equipment.
• Participates in the creation of RFQs and RFPs for major projects.
• Assists in managing the firewall environment.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements: These are the minimum requirements to be eligible for consideration for the position of Network Analyst:
Education and Experience
• Technical Degree or similar certification
• Five (5) years of related work experience
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for meeting minimum qualifications.
